In Arizona, Possession or Use of a Dangerous Drug A.R.S. §13-3407 means you are in the possession of drugs such as:
• Narcotics
• Barbiturates
• Methamphetamines
• Cocaine
• Heroin
• Ecstasy
If you are in the possession of a drug that is a narcotic or barbiturate and it is available through a doctor’s prescription, but it’s not your personal prescription, this is known as an illicit drug.
Bottom line: if you are carrying a drug like Vicodin or Oxycodone, make sure a doctor has prescribed it specifically for you. If you are charged with Possession or Use of a Dangerous Drug, you could be facing probation up to 15 years in prison.
