What is the TASC Program in Arizona?
Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities or TASC is an organization of devoted people who study advanced knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse and an Adult Deferred Prosecution Program.
In this short video, David explains what happens if you violate TASC:
TASC Participation
- One Random Urine Test Per Month
- One Thee Hour Drug & Alcohol Abuse Education Seminar
- Mandatory 12 Step Program Attendance
- Program Fees Ranging From: $300-2,500 (Depending on Offense)
Admission to TASC is not automatic and applicants are screened and verified. An applicant may not have any prior drug convictions. The TASC admissions committee are very selective on whom they allow into the program, and it is very important to have an experience attorney with you to help facilitate a TASC offer.
If an applicant does not finish the program, TASC will usually tell the court to proceed with the prosecution of the drug crime. It is possible to receive a second chance but is never a sure thing. The best advice any lawyer can give you is to complete the TASC program on-time as intended.
At The Law Offices of David Michael Cantor, our Criminal Defense Attorneys have dealt many times with the TASC admissions personnel and we can assist you from admission to completion of the TASC program.
If the program is completed, your record will reflect a total dismissal of the Possession or Use of Marijuana charge.
